A very early postcard from the publisher Valentine, the card is an early printed card using a technique that produces a glaze that is almost photographic, regrettably, many of these cards are badly chipped and the glaze peels away from the image, Valentine appears to have overcome that problem as the image is in excellent condition with only minor chips to the corners which remain very strong.  The image is Bright, Clean and Sharp, the Steamer appears ready to depart and there is a row of rowing boats on the foreshore.  The card is unused and in Near Fine Condition.
