Like the Castle Holyrood Palace must be one of the most photographed buildings in Edinburgh though this postcards is different, it is a painting specially commissioned by the Publisher's J Salmon, the sent their artist, A R Quinton, all the way from Sevenoaks in Kent to Edinburgh to produce this dramatic watercolour painting, the painting is signed A R Quinton and is as clean and crisp as it was new, there is one little fault to the front of the postcard and that is a small chip from the bottom right corner, though the corners are not bumped and are sharp, the back of the card is divided and clean and bright, unused and in near fine condition
